What is Action Learning?

In short, Action Learning is “a group of people learning, by doing”, which is a continuous learning process. During the Lab, group members learn and solve problems through questioning and reflection under the leadership of a coach. The problems they propose may be problems encountered in work or life, and this form of learning may provide a great experience to individuals, teams, or even organizations.

Action learning is a human resource development method that is used by businesses and non-profit organizations not only to solve complex problems or face challenges, but also to develop knowledge, skills, and values that are important among individuals and teams. Some complex issues may involve improving quality, reducing costs, creating new products and services, and changing workplace customs. From Boston to Brazil, Finland to Tokyo, companies as diverse as Samsung, GE, Deutsche Bank, Boeing, Microsoft, Novartis, Nokia, and many more use action learning to solve complex problems, develop leadership skills, build teams, and expand their business capabilities.
